As a New England-based off-road company, we were excited when we heard of the upcoming publication of Low-Range Offroad Journal. Low-Range is a bi-monthly off-road journal for the Northeast 4-wheeler.
We have a box of the premier issue right here, and it's a good read. Focusing on the Northeast 4-wheeling community, it includes articles about local shops, local trail runs and NEUROC events. You can pick up the first issue here and take a look. It will include info on subscribing.
Here's an excerpt of the journal, from Dan, the editor.
On the back of a Jeep
He said it matter-of-factly. "They loaded me on a stretcher on the back of a Jeep and took me back across the Moselle River." As a 19-year-old in the 90th Infantry Division, my Dad described being wounded like being hit in the chest with a sledgehammer. You were down and you weren't getting up anytime soon, he said.
Here it is near midnight on May 9th, the 60th Anniversary of V-E Day as we put the finishing touches on the first issue of Low-Range, An Off-Road Journal.
The goal of this publication is to provide a forum for the East Coast off-roading community. We are here to promote safe and legal wheeling and tell the story of the folks behind the wheel of these rigs.
In this issue, you will hear what wheelers think in a trail report from one of the first off-roading clubs in New Hampshire — Deep Woods Extreme. We also provide a report from three NeuRoc competitors in last year's finals at Paragon Adventure Park.
Lastly, we dedicate a section of this magazine to the veterans of the 90th Infantry Division this Memorial Day.
On a wing and a prayer and the back of a Jeep, we hope you enjoy this first issue of Low-Range.
