I'm Ryan from extremeterrain.com, and this is my review and installation of the N-Fab wheel to wheel Nerf step fitting your four-door 2007 and up JK. These are available in the textured black finish that you see here and a gloss black finish for a couple of dollars more. So you have the option to make sure you get a step that looks good with your build. Today we're gonna talk through the installation of these steps which is going to be a very simple one out of three wrench install. These will bolt directly onto your JK without the need to drill or modify anything, and you'll be able to get both of these steps installed in less than two hours. But we'll talk more about the installation in just a second. We're also gonna talk through the construction and a few of the features of these steps. These Nerf Steps are going to be for those of you who want to make it easier for you and your passenger to get in and out of your JK but also want to help hide the pinch seam of your Jeep a little bit. The area below the doors, below the rockers, just look a little bit unfinished from the factory. It has some holes drilled in it, some welds on it. And having a piece to cover that up does give your Jeep a little bit more of a finished look. However, if a step is all the way up there to cover up the pinch seam, it's not a very useful step. So this bar has more of a drop step design. This upper bar will do a nice job of covering the pinch seam. The lower bar gives you a much more useful step. So you do have the best of both worlds. Now, even though you are covering up that pinch seam, this is not going to be protection. This will protect you against some door dings, maybe a shopping cart rolling around in a parking lot. But this is not going to protect you if you're off road. Even if it were to protect you, you have these steps hanging down you're just gonna get hung up on. Bottom line is, this is for those of you who are staying on the road or just doing some very light fire trail style wheeling. Not those of you who are going to be hitting the trails that might have stumps and rocks. And certainly not those of you who are doing any sort of rock crawling. These are not going to hold up to that type of abuse and they're really just gonna get in the way.If you need the protection for some more hardcore wheeling and you want a step, there are some options that will offer both of those functions. But, generally, they're going to be more expensive because they are going to be built a little bit sturdier than these are. These are going to be appropriately priced for what they are, which is a useful step that will also change your Jeep aesthetically and overall going to be a pretty good option if you're looking for a step. These are the N-Fab wheel to wheel Nerf steps, and what that wheel to wheel part means is that this upper bar here gives you complete coverage from the inside of the front tire to the inside of the rear, giving you that complete finish look and covering the pinch seam all the way across the top. This bar here is three-inch tubing. It is .084-inch wall thickness, which is a little bit lighter than we see sometimes. But these are still rated at 465 pounds per step. So you're not going to have a problem with these. They're still going to be plenty sturdy for getting in and out of the Jeep on them. Of course, they do have these welded drop step, making it even easier to get in and out. These are dimpled. So even if you have a little bit of mud, snow, or just wet, you're still gonna get a nice solid step. Gives you that non-slip surface, which is really nice on there. Again, these are available with this textured black finsih which is sort of the standard finish. The gloss black finish is also available, but it is a little bit more expensive. But if that's what you're looking for on your Jeep, it's certainly a nice option to have. These are going to attach to your Jeep very much like a rock slider would. They're going to attach to both the pinch seam that has pre-drilled holes in it and the bottom side of the tub. Regardless of what year you have, this is going to come with the proper hardware to get these installed properly. Now one thing I wanted to point out which isn't necessarily a bad thing, is that this tube over here, where there's a bend and then a baloney cut, this tube is open. This tube at the end here has a plastic cap on it. But this one, because it is baloney cut, it has a bit of an odd shape to it. It's not round. It does not have a cap. So that is left open. Some of the other steps on the market will make that a straight cut so that they can be sealed on both sides, whether it be with a plastic cap or actually welded solid with a cap on the end. On these, this is left a little bit open. As I said before, the install for these is going to be a very simple one out of three wrench installation that you can get done in under two hours. The first step is, of course, removing whatever you currently have along the rocker panel of your Jeep. Whether you're running a factory rubicon rail, a factory step, or any aftermarket steps, you are going to have to completely remove all of that stuff to get these bolted up because of how these mount. Then it's simply a matter of holding these up to the side of your Jeep. Follow the instructions, using the included hardware to get them bolted to first the pinch seam. And of course, leave that hardware a little bit loose. And then the bottom of the tub, leaving that hardware loose as well. Finally, you can get everything leveled up and get everything tightened down. Again, no drilling, no cutting. These will bolt directly up, making them a very easy install that anybody can do in their driveway. These steps are priced in the mid 300s, depending on the finish that you decide to get. And overall, I don't think that's a bad price. They're priced appropriately for a step that does not offer protection. If we were talking about a rock rail, a rock slider, something that's designed to take a lot of punishment, the price would be higher because it would be built with a heavier material and designed a little bit differently. But for a step, I think that these are appropriately priced and they're a well-built option. So, if you're not only looking for a step that's going to make it easier for you and your passengers to get in and out of your JK, but also something that's going to cover up that otherwise unfinished looking pinch seam, this is going to be an option that is very well built and appropriately priced. So that's my review of the N-Fab wheel to wheel Nerf step fitting all 2007 and up JKs, that you can find right here at extremeterrain.com.

Added Protection and Ease of Entry. A nerf step from N-Fab is a smart upgrade for your 4-door Jeep, not only for the extra function of easier stepping in and out of your Wrangler but also for the additional protection it offers. The main bar extends from tire to tire, so the Jeep is well defended against rocks and other road debris that you're sure to encounter, especially on those off-roading excursions.

      Quality Construction.
N-Fab uses .084 steel tubing for their nerf bars, providing the best in strength and durability. Designed as one piece rather than as a modular unit, these nerf bars are sturdier than others on the market and won't flex under heavy weights. In fact, each step has a 465-pound weight rating. And the patented drop step design means sure footing along with a cleaner appearance. Finished with a black powder coating, the steps are sure to maintain their appearance in spite of the harsh elements.
