This Rugged Ridge rear seat cover in black is for those of you that have a 1997 to 2002 TJ, and are looking to change up the look of your interior, and/or protect or cover up a damaged seat. Now, the seats in your TJ do take a beating, especially the front seats, but if you have a lot of rear-seat passengers or just throw a lot of gear on your rear seat, that seat could be in pretty bad shape as well. Even the newest TJ is getting older, so if you have a damaged seat but you're not looking to get it completely repaired, adding a seat cover will cover up that damage. If your seats are still in pretty good condition, but you want to keep them looking good, adding a seat cover can help protect that seat. And regardless of what your reason is for installing a seat cover, these will refresh and change up the look of your interior. As for the installation, I'm gonna definitely give this a one out of three wrenches. You should be able to get this installed in about a half an hour or so. Another reason to install a rear seat cover like this is if your front seats are in bad shape, you wanna change up the look of those, and you want the rear seats to match. So again, a lot of different reasons to install a seat cover like this one. Now, this is going to be a fabric seat cover as opposed to a Neoprene seat cover. A Neoprene's gonna be a little bit more water resistant, a little bit more durable, hold up a little bit better, and also be a little bit more expensive. So depending on what you're looking for in your seat cover, this may be a good way to save a little bit of money. This is a Poly-Cotton seat cover, it does have some additional foam padding built right into it, so it is going to be a very comfortable seat cover. This is going to install very easily, stretching over your factory seat, and be a fairly priced option. As for the installation, I'm gonna definitely give this a one out of three wrenches. You should be able to get this installed in about a half an hour or so. Now, a good seat cover like this one is gonna be a little bit tight that first time you stretch it over the seat, and that's going to be the most difficult part about the install, is wrestling with it a little bit, fighting with it. But again, it won't take you more than a half an hour, and this is something that you really only have to install one time. So, first you're going to start with the bottom section of the seat. You can go ahead and stretch the seat cover over top of it. It's going to have some velcro in some places, some straps, some buckles, to make sure that it's nice and tight around that bottom section of the seat. After you're finished with that, you can put the back section on, and just follow the same method. Pull, tug, whatever needs to get done to get it stretched over the back of the seat, and use the included straps and velcro to make sure that it stays put where it is. You're not gonna need any tools to get this done, just a little bit of patience. This rear seat cover is gonna run you a little over $100, and I do think that's a pretty fair price for a cotton seat cover like this one. As I mentioned before, the Neoprene one's gonna hold up a little bit better, gonna be a little bit more expensive, but if you're looking for a slightly lesser level of protection, and you wanna save a little bit of money, I think a little bit over $100 is a fair price for this cover. So, if you're looking for a well-built, inexpensive rear seat cover for your TJ, I would definitely recommend taking a look at this one from Rugged Ridge, that you can find right here at extremeterrain.com.

Key Features. When the backseat in your Jeep looks a little tattered, it's time to spruce it up with this Fabric Rear Seat Cover. It's custom tailored to the dimensions of the seat, so it fits like a glove, almost like you shelled out to have it reupholstered. The cover is soft and durable, thanks to the excellent polyester cotton blend and strong weave. The best part is as you get dirt, sweat and other stuff on the cover, you can strip it off and give it a washing, then reinstall the cover for a clean look.
Construction. The polyester cotton blend used for the seat cover material is designed to be soft on bare skin, while still resisting fraying as you put it through serious abuse year after year. It can be washed in a machine on the delicate cycle, then left to air dry. Heavy-duty elastic cords with nylon hooks attached act as the anchor system for the covers.
Installation. Installation is actually pretty simple, so even inexperienced people can successfully take on the job. Plan on less than an hour for the whole process. A step-by-step guide with pictures is available, helping speed up the process. Basically, you need to slide the cover over the seat. Since it's at tight fit, you'll have to make adjustments to get everything lined up just the right way. Once the cover's on, it's just a matter of attachign the different hooks to specific points on the underside of the seat and the cover itself.
Application. This Fabric Rear Seat Cover is specifically designed for 1997-2002 Jeep Wranglers (TJ).
