ECOMMERCE CUSTOMER SERVICE/SALES REPRESENTATIVE - San Jose, California - (FILLED...more job postings coming soon!) is a leading online retailer for Jeep related gift items, memorabilia, and Jeep accessories whose success is built on our dedication to our customers. We are looking for a stellar Customer Service Lead/Manager who is comfortable getting in on the ground floor, and then growing a team of dedicated customer service / inside sales professionals. Your job will be to delight every customer and assure that their experience is a positive one.

This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday from 8:30am -- 5:30pm.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Receive customer calls and take phone orders
  • Check customer voicemail and return calls
  • Happily greet our customers through inbound telephone service/sales calls
  • Provide a high level of customer service for all our customers
  • Manage e-mail customer service requests
  • Call customers with outstanding issues including out-of-stock items or order/shipping issues (we try real hard to not have too many of these)
  • Follow up with any outstanding drop ship orders both with customer and vendor
  • Make informed decisions about customer returns and exchanges
  • Keep customers informed about returns
  • Document all customers' request in order management software
  • Coordinate defective items/returns to manufacturers for appropriate credit and/or replacements
  • Process orders including approving orders, update address information, order dropships from vendors, orders changes and cancellations
  • Update inventory availability from vendors
  • Follow up with Wholesale customers about their orders
  • Maintaining and expanding the database of prospects Wholesale customers
  • Requirements:

  • An attitude of doing what it takes to delight every customer
  • An understanding of the retail environment and the processes that make it all work
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-through skills
  • Extremely detail oriented. Customer service driven. Well organized.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work in a small group. Easy going. Flexible.
  • If you are savvy with social networking, spreadsheets, Jeep accessories and/or off-roading, you'll earn brownie points.
  • Sense of humor an essential requirement! (We might ask you to tell your best joke during the interview).
  • You don't need to own a Jeep, you just can't drive a Hummer (joking, of course...or, are we?).
  • About our work environment: It's hard work. It's fun. Sometimes our team dog hangs out with us in the office. This position is in our San Jose, CA office. We are a small team working on open space office (no cubicles here!). You'd be working with a great group of people that like Jeeps (of course!), cars in general, art, music, joking around, free Friday lunches, and totally blowing away our customers with outstanding customer service.
