Description

The black finish is the same as the rest of your Jeep's exterior, and the same mount points work with this replacement. You'll also find the same build quality and functionality as the OE part, so you're compromising on nothing. Even after years of hard use, this mirror should continue to look and work great, making it a solid investment.
Construction. Just like the stock setup, the Rugged Ridge Door Mirror housing is made of solid ABS plastic, which is known for being durable and fairly lightweight. The material is UV treated to guard against sun damage, so you don't have to worry about fading or cracking as your Jeep sits outside. The glass, cap, arm and even mounting hardware matches the OE side mirror exactly, making this a true replacement part.
Installation. Give yourself an hour or so to install the driver's side mirror, so you're not rushed and do a good job. The process is actually pretty simple and direct, making it suitable for people who don't have too much automotive repair experience. You'll need basic tools, like a socket wrench, to attach everything. The process involves lining up the mounts on the mirror and the anchor points on the vehicle, then tightening the hardware enough that the mirror stays stationary.
