Hey, guys. Today I'm here with the Rugged Ridge off-road jack mounting brackets, fitting all '07 to '18 JK Wranglers. This is gonna be a perfect solution if you're looking for an easy and accessible way to access your off-road jack while you're out on the trail. This will also be perfect if you run out of room in the back mounting up all those other accessories, and you need a good alternative. Not to mention the off-road look that this is gonna give you. The brackets themselves are gonna be roughly $60 on the site right now, and they're gonna be one of the most affordable options there, as well as one of the only options for a hood-mounted bracket. I think with the quality of these as well as the easy location that those are definitely worth the price. Install is gonna be a very easy one out of three wrenches, and speaking of the install, let's jump into that now. So, the first step to mounting up these brackets would be to remove the two T50 torx bolts that are holding in your hood on each of your hood latches. I would recommend you do one side at a time, because you don't want to completely unbolt your hood and have it shift around. So, there's not much here, guys, as you can see, and they are pretty simple brackets. However, these things are durable, made of a 6061-T6 aluminum with a black powder coat finish, so they're gonna be able to hold your heavy off-road jack while you're out bouncing around on the trails and they're gonna be able to resist any rust or corrosion from weathering on the top of your Jeep. They even come with this pretty nifty gasket, so you don't have to damage your paint on your hood if you ever want to take it down in the long run. So, first thing's first, you're gonna put your gasket on the mounting holes, and line up your bracket. You wanna make sure that this protruded end is facing the front of your Jeep. Then you can take the longer hardware that Rugged Ridge gives you and thread that in. I would make sure to hand thread everything first, and then tighten it down at the end. So, after you have those hand threaded, you can take a 3/16 inch Allen key and tighten those down. Now that your brackets are bolted down, you can go ahead and attach your off-road jack. I wanted to show you guys with our jack how easily accessible of a location this is at, as well as how easy it is to attach the jack and take it off. The only downfall that I would have to say about this design is that if you're vertically challenged like me, it can be a little tough standing next to a lifted Jeep to get this on. However, that is very fixable. So, once it's on there, it will sit in its little groove, and you can attach your heavy-duty knobs. So, that's it for my review and install on the Rugged Ridge off-road jack mounting brackets, fitting all '07 to '18 JKs. For more videos like this, keep it right here at extremeterrain.com.
