We are looking for a Customer Service & Inside Sales Manager who is comfortable getting in on the ground floor, and then growing a team of dedicated customer service / inside sales professionals. Your job will be to delight every customer and assure that their experience is a positive one. Initially, you will handle customer service calls yourself. These will include customers placing phone orders, customers needing information or to return/exchange an order, and wholesale inquiries. You will then develop and grow a team of professionals that will support and assist us in achieving our sales and marketing goals. This may include a seasonal call center team, an outbound wholesale business development group, etc. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Customer Service / Inside Sales Manager who enjoys an entrepreneurial environment and growing a team from scratch.
Job Responsibilities
· Develop and Manage our customer Service Department
o Assist in the recruitment and hiring of the most qualified applicants to meet our seasonal needs
o Train, coach and manage your team.
· Receive customer calls and take phone orders
o Check customer v-mail and return calls
o Receive inbound telephone sales calls
· Ensure a high level of customer service for all our customers
· Manage Customer Service for www.allthingsjeep.com, www.paintedkiwi.com and related websites
o Manage e-mail customer service requests
o Call customers with outstanding issues including out-of-stock items or order/shipping issues
o Follow up with any outstanding drop ship orders both with customer and vendor
o Develop Customer services procedures and efficiencies inline with our high level of customer service
· Handle returns and exchanges
o Make informed decisions about customer returns and exchanges
o Keep customers informed about returns
o Document all returns and exchanges in order management software
· Coordinate defective items/returns to manufacturers for appropriate credit and/or replacements
· Maintain and update online marketing efforts such as MySpace and related blogging sites
· Help determine the appropriate set of tools to provide exemplary customer service
· Document customer service policies and procedures for Company Handbook
· Picking and packing as scheduled as needed Requirements:
· Ability to work a full-time schedule including nights, weekends and holidays when needed
· An attitude of doing what it takes to delight every customer
· Experience growing a successful customer service and/or inside sales team
· An understanding of the retail environment and the processes that make it all work
· Exceptional interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-through skills
· Extremely detail oriented. Customer service driven. Well organized.
· Comfy using computers to do your work.
· Ability to work in fast paced, often hectic environment.
· Ability to work in a small group. Easy going. Flexible.
